CAA MEN'S LACROSSE WEEKLY REPORT (MARCH 23)

RICHMOND, Va. (March 23, 2015) – Fairfield  University sophomore Tyler Behring was named the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week while Hofstra University freshman Dylan Alderman was named CAA Rookie of the Week.

Sophomore goalkeeper Tyler Behring was dominant in goal in two Fairfield wins last week, posting a 3.56 goals against average with a .759 save percentage. Behring allowed just seven goals with 22 total saves in victories over UMass-Lowell and No. 20 Villanova. Behring also picked up 10 ground balls with two caused turnovers. Against UML, he played all but the final two minutes making six saves while allowing three goals for a 3.10 GAA and .667 save percentage with seven ground balls and two caused turnovers. In Saturday’s win over Villanova, Behring made a career-high 16 saves for a .759 save percentage while limiting the Wildcats to just four goals. Villanova was kept off the board for more than 40 minutes of action, including the entirety of both the second and third quarters.

Rookie midfielder Dylan Alderman tallied one goal, four assists, and a ground ball in the Pride’s 1-1 week. He recorded one goal and three assists in the win over St. John’s and added an assist in the loss to UMass in the CAA opener. Alderman now has five goals and nine assists on the season
