Drexel junior Christopher Crawford garnered also All-CAA First Team honors for the second straight year

RICHMOND, Va. (May 14, 2015) – Drexel University junior
Christopher Crawford was chosen as the 2015 Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Men’s Golfer of the Year while UNCW’s
Thomas Eldridge was named CAA Rookie of the Year in a vote of the league's nine head coaches. University of Delaware’s
Mike Keogh was named CAA Coach of the Year.
Crawford, Drexel's first-ever CAA Golfer of the Year, also earned a spot on the All-CAA First Team for the second straight year. It’s also the third year in which he’s received league honors, as he was named CAA Rookie of the Year and to the All-CAA Second Team in 2013. The Bensalem, Pa. native finished in the top-ten in every tournament he played in during the 2014-15 season and had a league-best average score of 71.76 over 25 rounds. At the CAA Championship, Crawford tied for fifth overall with a four-over 220 (77-70-73). He was named the CAA Men’s Golfer of the Week twice during the season.
Eldridge had a strong CAA Championship, placing fourth overall with a three-over 219 (71-72-76) to earn All-Tournament Team accolades. For the season, Eldridge appeared in 10 tournaments, recording an average score of 74.57 over 28 rounds en route to All-CAA Second Team honors.
Keogh, who concluded his 14th season at the helm, guided Delaware to eight top-ten team finishes this season. The Blue Hens finished sixth at the CAA Championships, just two strokes out of fifth place and five strokes out of second place, and had two golfers finish in the top-20.
William & Mary’s
Alex Hicks was named to the All-CAA First Team for the third consecutive season while College of Charleston’s
John Jonas and
Zach Munroe, earned the honor for the second straight year. James Madison sophomore
Ryan Cole rounded out the First Team.
Joining Eldridge on the All-CAA Second Team were Elon’s
Jonathan DiIanni, James Madison’s
Jon Weiss and
Poom Pattaropong, and William & Mary’s
Charlie Kern.
Cole, Munroe, and DiIanni all earned CAA All-Academic honors along with Drexel's
Yoseph Dance, UNCW's
Jens Geweke, William & Mary's
Davis Morrison, Delaware's
Niño Rosal, Towson's
Tyler Silberberg, and Hofstra's
David Won.
