RICHMOND, Va. (September 22, 2015) - On Tuesday, the CAA announced its fourth weekly award winners in field hockey for the 2015 season. Hofstra junior Stella Schoen was named Player of the Week and Delaware freshman Lisa Giezeman was tabbed Rookie of the Week for the second time this season.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Stella Schoen • Hofstra
Jr. | F/M | Hamburg, Germany/Gymnasium Othmarschen

Schoen came up big for the Pride in their only contest of the week, scoring two goals in a 3-2 win over UMass Lowell. It’s the third career weekly CAA honor for the Germany native. Schoen is tied for the team lead with seven goals this season, also adding one assist on the year as well. Among CAA competitors, the junior ranks first in shots (43) and shots per game (5.38) and is tied for third in goals.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK:
Lisa Giezeman • Delaware

Earns her second weekly rookie nod of the season - her first since winning the honor on Sept. 1 in Week 1 - after scoring three goals over the Blue Hens’ two wins. On Friday, in a 5-3 win over Bucknell, the freshman netted two goals. On Sunday, Giezeman scored the difference-maker in a 1-0 victory against Pacific for her team-leading third game-winning goal of the year and ninth tally of the year. Delaware is off to its best start all-time with its 8-0 record while Giezeman leads the CAA and ranks seventh in Division I with 2.50 points per game and 1.13 goals per contest.
