RICHMOND, Va. (January 19, 2016) – James Madison sophomore Katie Parker and William & Mary senior Jessie Ustjanauskas were named Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Women’s Swimmers of the Week, while Delaware senior Kristina Congdon was tabbed Women’s Diver of the Week.

Ustjanauskas picked up her third weekly nod of the 2015-16 season (first since Dec. 8) after capping her home pool career on Senior Day with two individual titles and helping the Tribe grab another win in a team relay.

The Connecticut native broke her own dual-meet records in both the 100 and 200-yard fly, touching the wall in the 100 in 55.43 and the 200 in 2:03.53. Ustjanauskas, as mentioned, also swam a leg on the Green and Gold’s winning 200-yard medley relay (1:57.00). The Tribe women defeated Davidson over the weekend, while both times in the fly events ranked third and fourth among CAA competitors so far this year.

Parker, like Ustjanauskas, came through for her team with two individual titles and one team relay title over the weekend as the Dukes downed Richmond in Harrisonburg. The sophomore won the 100 and 200-yard breast events and contributed to Madison’s winning 400-yard medley relay squad (3:50.40) as well. In the 100-yard breast, Parker set a JMU season-best mark with a time of 1:04.28 and then finished first in the 200-yard breast with a time of 2:20.73.

Congdon swept both diving events over the weekend as the Blue Hens beat Iona in Newark. The senior scored 306.90 on the 1-meter board and 347.85 on the 3-meter. This is the second weekly honor Congdon has won during her senior campaign.
