CAA Football Rewind - Week 5

James Madison, New Hampshire, Richmond and Villanova were winners in CAA Football conference action on Saturday. JMU (4-1, 2-0) got 312 yards of total offense and four touchdowns from quarterback Bryan Schor in a 43-20 triumph over Delaware (2-2, 0-1). Quarterback Trevor Knight accounted for 213 yards of total offense and pair of scores as New Hampshire (3-2, 2-0) defeated William & Mary (2-3, 0-2), 21-12. Quarterback Zach Bednarczyk piled up a career-high 329 yards of offense and accounted for four touchdowns as Villanova (4-1, 2-0) rolled past Elon (2-3, 1-1), 42-7. Richmond (4-1, 1-1) pulled out a 31-28 win over Towson (1-3, 0-2) as quarterback Kyle Lauletta threw for three touchdowns.
It was also a big day in non-conference action as Rhode Island and Maine both earned their first victories of the season. Rhode Island topped rival Brown, 28-13, in the Governor's Cup as Harold Cooper ran for 135 yards and two scores. Maine rallied from a 21-0 deficit to beat Bryant, 35-31. Josh Mack ran for 151 yards and three touchdowns to pace the Black Bears.
