CAA Football Rewind - Week 7

Week 7 of the CAA Football schedule featured four games decided by seven points or less and left only two teams - James Madison and Stony Brook - still unbeaten in conference play.
No. 7/6 James Madison held off No. 25 New Hampshire, 42-39, behind 312 total yards and five TD's from quarterback Bryan Schor. The victory snapped UNH's 17-game regular-season home winning streak. In another battle of Top 25 teams, No. 6/7 Richmond blanked No. 13/11 Villanova, 23-0. It was the 11th straight home victory for the Spiders and ended the Wildcats' five-game-winning streak.
Maine got three TD passes from Dan Collins and knocked off No. 17/19 UAlbany, 20-16. It was the Black Bears' third straight win. William & Mary scored 21 points in the fourth quarter and rallied past Delaware, 24-17. The Tribe's Aaron Swinton intercepted a pair of passes and returned one 63 yards for a score.
Stony Brook scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns and beat Rhode Island, 14-3, to improve to 3-0 in CAA play. Stacey Bedell and Jordan Gowins both ran for over 100 yards. In non-conference action. Towson dropped a 20-17 decision at Dartmouth. Freshman Deshaun Wethington rushed for 145 yards and a TD.
