Bartucca wins her second CAA Player of the Week award this fall, also grabbing the honor on Sept. 27. The redshirt junior contributed three goals over the Huskies’ 1-1 week which included their first CAA win of the season (4-2 over Hofstra on Friday) and a 3-2 loss to UMass on Sunday. The redshirt junior opened the scoring against the Pride in Friday’s critical conference win, netting the first goal just nine minutes into the game. At UMass on Sunday, Bartucca registered her second multi-goal game of the season, scoring both of her team’s goals in defeat. The Farmington, Conn., native leads NU with nine goals and 19 total points through15 games for the Huskies this season.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK:

MacLeod is the Tribe’s second Player of the Week honoree this fall. The junior entered last week with one goal on the season, but scored three times over three games as the Tribe defeated Drexel, 2-1, to move to 3-1 in CAA play and lost twice to nationally ranked foes Virginia and Wake Forest by scores of 3-2 and 3-1, respectively. In Tuesday’s tough one-goal loss to then-No. 10 UVA, MacLeod tied the game with a goal early in the second half at 1-1. In Friday’s win over the Dragons, she scored both of her team’s goals in the 2-1 win, including the difference-maker in the 56th minute that propelled the Tribe to earning their third CAA victory of the fall.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK:

For the second consecutive week Sondern earns the CAA’s rookie nod. The freshman came through for the Dukes in the second half of Friday’s 3-1 win over Richmond, breaking a 1-1 tie to score her fourth goal of the year. Madison went on to defeat Lafayette on Sunday by the same score, upping its winning streak to five games and moving to 11-3 in 2016.
RANDOM TIDBITS: Delaware played once last week but earned a 3-2, double-overtime win over Penn at home to move to 13-2 overall. That’s the best start to a season in program history; Delaware’s current nine-game winning streak ties the all-time program record for consecutive wins and is also second currently in Division I behind UConn, which is 15-0 this season; For the third time in 2016, the CAA has two ranked teams in the national poll. Delaware remained in the No. 8 spot, while JMU jumped into the No. 17 slot; The CAA has two players currently ranked in the top 5 for goals per game; they are Delaware’s Greta Nauck (#3/1.27) and JMU’s Miranda Rigg (#4/1.14); Nauck leads all conference players in goals (19), shots (90) and points (45); Hofstra’s Claudia Marin Samper is seven points away from becoming the all-time Pride career leader (148 points). She currently leads the CAA with 10 assists this season; Through 15 games, Delaware goalkeeper Emmeline Oltmans leads the CAA with a 1.71 goals against average; Drexel’s Megan Wiest leads the Dragons with 10 goals this season and is the first underclassmen to register at least 10 goals since 2008.
