CAA Football Rewind - Week 11

It was another big Saturday for the road teams in CAA Football as visitors won four of the six contests.
No. 6/5 James Madison (9-1, 7-0) clinched the CAA Football title and an automatic bid to the FCS playoffs following a 20-7 victory at No. 9/11 Villanova (7-3, 5-2). The Dukes' defense limited the Wildcats to 239 total yards and forced four turnovers, while JMU running back Khalid Abdullah picked up 101 yards on the ground and two TD's.
UAlbany running back Elijah Ibitokun-Hanks rushed for a program-record 298 yards and three touchdowns to rally the Great Danes (6-4, 3-4) past No. 21/23 New Hampshire (6-4, 5-2), 36-25. In his first career start, UAlbany quarterback Will Brunson was 12-of-20 passing for 146 yards and a score.
No. 8/8 Richmond (8-2, 5-2) used a balanced effort to top Delaware (4-6, 2-5), 31-17. Spiders quarterback Kyle Lauletta was 21-of-35 for 286 yards and 3 TD's, while Deontez Thompson rushed for 132 yards and a TD.
Maine (6-4, 5-2) jumped out to a 27-0 lead and held off Stony Brook (5-5, 4-3), 27-21. Black Bears' freshman running back Josh Mack tallied 147 yards and a TD on 39 carries and also had a receiving touchdown.
Towson (3-7, 2-5) came back from a 21-10 halftime deficit to defeat William & Mary (4-6, 2-5), 34-24. Freshman running back Shane Simpson rushed for a career-high 202 yards and a TD on 21 carries.
Rhode Island (2-8, 1-6) ended a 23-game road losing streak with a 44-14 triumph at Elon (2-8, 1-6).. Senior Harold Cooper ran for a career-high 155 yards and a TD and also returned a kickoff 98 yards for a score to lead the Rams.
