Hofstra is coming off an excellent season in which it won 24 games, earned a share of the CAA regular-season title and received a berth in the NIT. While the Pride must replace three double-figure scorers, plenty of talent is on hand.

Junior Rokas Gustys was the league’s most dominant post player, averaging 13.5 ppg while shooting 66% from the floor and ranking second in the nation in rebounding (13.0 rpg). His 22 double-doubles were the 9th-most in Div. I and he had six games with at least 20 rebounds. He should get help inside from junior transfers Ty Greer and Hunter Sabety.

In the backcourt, senior Brian Bernardi ranked 17th in the CAA in scoring (12.3 ppg) last season. He was third in the league in 3-pointers made (87) and 3-point percentage (38.8%). Desure Buie and Justin Wright-Foreman both contributed off the bench as freshmen and wing Jamall Robinson is back after red-shirting last year. Hampton transfer guard Deron Powers should also make an impact.
