CAA Football Rewind - Week 10

It was another big day for road teams in CAA Football as visitors came out on top in four of the five contests on Saturday.

No. 7 James Madison (8-1, 6-0) remained atop the CAA standings after pulling out a hard-fought 47-43 victory at No. 6 Richmond (7-2, 5-2). Quarterback Bryan Schor completed 22-of-28 passes for 285 yards and 3 TD's and also ran for 91 yards and a score to pace the Dukes.

No. 10 Villanova (7-2, 5-1) remained just a game out of first place after topping Maine, 26-7, which ended the Black Bears' (5-4, 4-2) five-game winning streak. Wildcats' quarterback Zach Bednarczyk completed 23-of-31 passes for a career-high 326 yards and 3 TD's,

William & Mary (4-5, 2-4) used a stellar defensive effort in knocking off No. 25 Stony Brook, 14-9. The Tribe limited the Seawolves (5-4, 4-2) to just 210 total yards and only gave up a score on special teams.

Delaware (4-5, 2-4) picked up its second straight victory by defeating UAlbany, 33-17. Wes Hills returned to action and rushed for a game-high 122 yards and 2 TD's for the Blue Hens and UD's defense forced five Great Danes (5-4, 2-4) turnovers.

Towson (2-7, 1-5) earned its first CAA win of the season, beating Elon (2-7, 1-5), 23-6. Freshman Shane Simpson rushed for a career-high 187 yards on 23 carries for the Tigers, who also forced four Phoenix turnovers.
