Joe Seider earned the first Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week honor of the season while Fairfield University’s
Colin Burke was named Rookie of the Week.

Joe Seider kicked off 2016 in style, netting three goals and one assist in the Towson’s victory against Mercer. It marks the second time in his career Seider has gone off for three goals and one assist in a season opener. The Sparks, Md. was efficient in shooting, scoring on three of his four shots on goal, leading Towson to its third-straight season opening win and improving head coach Shawn Nadelen to 4-1 in home openers.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK:
Colin Burke • Fairfield University

Colin Burke began his collegiate career on a high note, racking up four points against Richmond. Burke netted a hat trick and handed out an assist. Two of his goals against the Spiders came when the Stags were a man-up. His first collegiate goal came at 5:15 in the first quarter as he put the Stags on top 2-1 while they had the man-advantage.
