CAA WOMEN'S LACROSSE WEEKLY REPORT - MARCH 1
RICHMOND, Va. – The CAA’s weekly women’s lacrosse awards for March 1 honored Drexel attacker Nadia Pelham-Lacey, Delaware goalie Taylor Carpentier, and William & Mary attacker/midfielder Eloise Gagnon.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Nadia Pellham-Lacey – Drexel

Pelham-Lacey had an all-around impressive week for Drexel, which split games with Princeton and Colgate. The attacker opened her week with a pair of goals in a loss to nationally-ranked Princeton on Wednesday. Then on Sunday, she erupted for four goals and two assists - setting a career-high with six points – in the Dragons’ win over Colgate. Pelham-Lacey also added two draw controls, two caused turnovers and one ground ball on the week.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Taylor Carpentier – Delaware

Carpentier led Delaware to a 2-0 week by posting a total of 14 saves, six ground balls and three caused turnovers in the net. In the Hens’ victory over LaSalle on Tuesday, Carpentier recorded six saves on 15 shots faced. She followed that performance with a career-high eight saves on 24 shots faced in Saturday’s win at Rutgers. Carpentier now ranks 25
th in the nation with 30 saves this season.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Eloise Gagnon – William & Mary

Gagnon made the most of William & Mary’s only game last week, tallying two goals and an assist in the Tribe’s 15-14 win over Oregon on Sunday. After finding the net early in the first half off an assist from teammate Emma MacLeod, Gagnon added her second score of contest early in the second period on a free position shot. She now has five goals and two assists on the season.
