HOUSTON – After earning the start in the NABC Reese’s College All-Star game, Northeastern senior David Walker led all scorers with 17 points en route to being named the East squad’s Reese’s Perfect Player at NRG Stadium Friday night.

Walker finished the game with 17 points, 10 of which came in the first half, the lone player to register double digits at the half. The Stow, Ohio native added a game-high four blocks, three rebounds and two assists as the East fell 89-85 to the West squad.

Walker’s 17 points came via 7-of-10 shooting including a 3-for-4 clip from behind the arc as he played in a team-high 27 minutes of action for the East.

Walker achieved the feat in front of 19,270 fans as well as the Northeastern coaching staff, who were all on hand to cheer their senior on as he represented Northeastern as the first ever NU player chosen to play in the College All-Star game.

Walker was named to the NABC All-District First Team exactly one week ago and has also earned U.S. Basketball Writers Association All-District honors, and All-CAA First Team honors this season.

The game will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network on Saturday, April 2 at 1 p.m. ET/12 p.m. CT.
