Paul Major was named the Player of the Week and faceoff specialist
Jake Hervada earned Rookie of the Week after the Blue Hens upset No. 6/7 Towson.

Delaware moved back into the thick of the CAA race as junior Paul Major scored four goals to lead the Blue Hens to a 10-7 upset victory at No. 6/7 Towson on Saturday. Major scored two goals in the first quarter and one in the second as Delaware took a 6-4 lead at halftime and never trailed. His fourth goal of the day came with eight seconds left in the third quarter pushed lead to 8-4. He also had a ground ball. It was the fifth career hat trick for Major and his fourth of the season.

Rookie faceoff specialist set the tone for Delaware’s 10-7 upset at No. 6/7 Towson on Saturday. He won nine faceoffs on the day, but it was hit first that made a big difference. Hervada won the opening faceoff, scooped up the ground ball, and scored just six seconds into the game to give Delaware a 1-0 lead. The Hens held that lead the entire game. The shot and goal were his firsts of the season. The six-second goal was the second fastest in UD history. He also had six ground balls and a caused turnover against the Tigers.
