Jordan Henry were named the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Women’s Basketball Players of the Week while University of Delaware’s
Abby Gonzales earned CAA Rookie of the Week honors.

Senior forward Jordan Henry averaged a double-double as UNCW won back-to-back games for the first time this season. She averaged 10.0 points and 12.5 rebounds per contest while making 9-of-13 field goal attempts. In addition, she tallied five blocked shots in two games. Henry scored eight points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the win over Towson on Friday night while adding four blocked shots. In the win over College of Charleston on Sunday, Henry recorded her fourth double-double of the season with 12 points and 13 rebounds, which tied her career high. Henry is averaging 7.6 points and 7.9 rebounds per game for the Seahawks, who have won three of their last four games after an 0-5 start in league play.

Redshirt senior guard Precious Hall averaged 22.0 points and went a perfect 11-11 from the free throw line to help JMU to a 2-0 week. In a key match-up against Drexel, Hall posted 17 points to help the Dukes to the victory over the Dragons. In the win at William & Mary, Hall scored in double figures for the 20th consecutive game, finishing with 27 points in addition to eight rebounds, four assists and three steals. She also went 7-for-7 from the line against the Tribe. Hall is ranked among the top-five in the nation in scoring and has tallied 20+ points 12 times this season. She is also approaching her 2,000th career point, entering the week with 1,984. This is the fourth CAA Player of the Week honor for Hall this season.

Rookie guard Abby Gonzales helped Delaware extend its winning streak to five games last week by averaging 11.5 points, 3.5 assists, and 3.0 rebounds in victories over William & Mary and Towson. She opened the week by tying a career-high with 16 points on 5-for-7 shooting from the field along with five assists and three steals. Against Towson, she had a balanced effort with seven points, four rebounds, and two assists. For the year, Gonzales is averaging 5.9 points, 2.0 assists and 2.0 rebounds per game.
#CAAHoops – The Week that Was
At the midway point of conference play, Elon remained atop the
#CAAHoops Standings by going 2-0 last weekend while James Madison, Delaware and UNCW extended their winning streaks with two wins apiece.
Charleston (6-14; 3-6 CAA): The Cougars split games, topping Hofstra before falling at UNCW. Senior
Breanna Bolden became CofC’s all-time leading scorer on Friday with 21 points and 13 rebounds. She also came away with her 300th career steal. For the week, she averaged 19.5 points and 10.5 rebounds.
Delaware (12-8; 6-3 CAA): The Blue Hens extended their winning streak to five games with road wins at William & Mary and Towson. Sophomore
Nicole Enabosi averaged another double-double with 12.0 points and 10.5 rebounds for the week. Rookie
Abby Gonzales averaged 11.5 points for the week, dropping in 16 points in the win against the Tribe.
Drexel (15-5; 6-3 CAA): The Dragons split games last week, falling at James Madison before topping Northeastern. Senior
Sarah Curran led the way with 18.0 points per game on 57.7 percent shooting, including 24 points on a 10-for-15 effort against the Huskies. Rookie
Aubree Brown had a solid all-around effort, averaging 5.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 3.5 steals last week.
Elon (16-5; 8-1 CAA): The Phoenix went 2-0 last week and pushed their winning streak to three games to remain atop the league standings. Junior
Shay Burnett averaged 13.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 5.5 assists. At 16-5 this season, Elon’s .762 winning percentage is its best through 21 games as a D-I program. Their 8-1 league record is also the best in program history, regardless of conference affiliation.
Hofstra (8-11; 1-7 CAA): The Pride had a pair of tough losses last week falling to Charleston and Elon. Junior
Ashunae Durant averaged a double-double with 20.0 points and 13.5 rebounds for the week. In addition, Durant recorded her 1,000th career point against the Phoenix. One of the top rebounders in the nation, Durant is averaging 11.7 boards on the year and has grabbed double-double digit rebounds in seven straight games.
James Madison (14-6; 7-2 CAA): The Dukes went 2-0 last week and moved into second place in the standings with wins over Drexel and William & Mary.

Northeastern (7-14; 3-6 CAA): The Huskies took on two of the top-three teams in the league, falling to Elon and Drexel.
Claudia Ortiz had an impressive weekend for the Huskies, contributing 16.0 points per game and going 10-for-12 from the free throw line.
Towson (11-9; 4-5 CAA): The Tigers were edged by UNCW and Delaware last week. Senior guard
Raven Bankston had another big week, averaging 22.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 3.5 steals per game. She also dropped in 31 points against the Blue Hens, the second time this season in which she’s posted 30+ points.
William & Mary (13-6; 3-5 CAA): The Tribe had a pair of home losses to Delaware and James Madison. Senior
Alexandra Masaquel averaged 14.0 points and 9.0 rebounds for the week. Junior
Abby Rendle collected six blocks, to bring her season total to 75, which ranks eighth all-time on the CAA single season chart.
