In a game that featured seven lead changes, Elon (6-1, 4-0) edged Rhode Island (1-6, 0-4), 35-34, to remain unbeaten in CAA play. The Phoenix are on a six-game winning streak for the first time since 2009 and their four CAA victories equal the number the program had over the past three seasons combined. Elon freshman quarterback Davis Cheek completed 23-of-34 passes for a career-high 331 yards and 3 TD's, while DeSean McNair ran for a career-high 128 yards and 2 TD's. The Rams were led by quarterback JaJuan Lawson, who connected on 20-of-34 passes for 252 yards and 2 TD's and also ran for a team-high 80 yards on 16 carries. URI drove deep into Elon territory in the final minute, but a Warren Messer interception sealed the win for the Phoenix.
Delaware (5-2, 3-1) pulled out a thrilling 42-35 victory over Richmond (4-3, 2-2) in double overtime. Blue Hens' wide receiver Jamie Jarmon ran for 103 yards and 2 TD's on only four carries and caught three passes for 41 yards and a TD. Running back Kani Kane added 109 yards on the ground and scored the game-winning TD in the second overtime. Spiders' quarterback Kyle Lauletta completed 23-of-40 passes for 295 yards and 4 TD's and added 35 yards and a TD on the ground. It was the third straight win for Delaware and its second over a Top 25 foe.
Quarterback Trevor Knight completed 19-of-30 passes for 197 yards and a career-high 4 TD's - all of which came in the second quarter - as New Hampshire (5-2, 3-1) defeated Towson, 40-17. Redshirt freshman running back DeUnte Chatman added a career-high 187 yards and 2 TD's on 22 carries for the Wildcats. For Towson (2-5, 0-4), quarterback Ryan Stover threw for 194 yards and a touchdown.
James Madison (7-0, 4-0) forced six turnovers and extended its winning streak to 19 with a 46-14 triumph at William & Mary. The Dukes converted the turnovers into 33 points, including a 38-yard pick six by Jimmy Moreland. Running back Marcus Marshall rushed for 64 yards and 2 TD's and Bryan Schor threw for 186 yards and a TD, which was the 51st of his career, tying a JMU record. The Tribe (2-5, 0-4) got 74 yards and a TD rushing from freshman running back Noah Giles.
Maine (3-3, 2-3) got a pair of 37-yard field goals from Brandon Briggs and held off UAlbany, 12-10. Freshman quarterback Chris Ferguson passed for 263 yards and a TD and Josh Mack ran for 108 yards for the Black Bears. For the Great Danes (3-4, 1-3), freshman Karl Mofor rushed for 105 yards and Will Brunson passed for 163 yards. Maine's defense held UAlbany to 262 total yards.
