In a battle of nationally ranked teams, No. 18 New Hampshire (7-3, 5-2) used a strong defensive effort to knock off No. 7 Elon, 16-6. Quarterback Trevor Knight completed 32-of-42 passes for 271 yards and a TD to lead the Wildcats' offense, while Malik Love made 11 catches for 64 yards. Defensively Jared Kuehl had six tackles, 2.0 TFL, a sack and a fumble recovery. Elon (8-2, 6-1), which had its eight-game winning streak snapped, got 284 yards passing and a TD from freshman quarterback Davis Cheek. Linebacker Warren Messer had a game-high 12 tackles and 2.5 TFL.

Top-ranked James Madison (10-0, 7-0) clinched at least a share of its third straight CAA Football title after edging rival Richmond, 20-13. Trai Sharp scored the game-winning touchdown on a 7-yard run with 44 seconds to go. It capped a 71-yard drive in which Sharp rushed for 54 yards. Dukes' quarterback Bryan Schor threw for 229 yards, while Raven Greene paced the defense with 11 tackles. For Richmond (5-5, 3-4), quarterback Kyle Lauletta was 27-of-44 passing for 304 yards and threw his school-record 27th TD pass of the season. Tyler Wilkins made 12 catches for 180 yards and a TD. Trey Moore had 12 tackles and 2.5 TFL for the UR defense.

JaJuan Lawson completed 25-of-35 passes for a career-high 336 yards and a touchdown and also ran for a score as Rhode Island (3-7, 2-5) defeated Villanova, 20-6. The Rams had a pair of 100-yard receivers in the same game for the first time since 2011 as Marven Beauvais made six catches for a career-high 152 yards and a TD and Khayri Denny added eight receptions for 108 yards. URI's defense limited the Wildcats to 171 total yards and eight first downs. For Villanova (4-6, 2-5), freshman quarterback Jack Schetelich passed for 170 yards.

Freshman defensive Coby Tippett made a career-high 14 tackles and returned a punt 62 yards for a touchdown as Towson (4-6, 2-5) earned a 26-14 road victory at William & Mary. The Tigers trailed 14-12 at the half, but scored twice in a 1:12 span early in the fourth quarter on TD runs by Ryan Stover and Kobe Young to take control. Stover finished with 140 yards passing. For the Tribe (2-8, 0-7), quarterback Tommy McKee passed for 168 yards and a TD and also ran for a score.

Delaware's defense allowed just 120 yards and forced four turnovers in a 22-3 triumph over UAlbany. The Blue Hens (7-3, 5-2), who won for the fifth time in six games, only allowed one first down after the opening drive of the game. Offensively, freshman running back Khory Spruill carried 20 times for a career-high 86 yards and a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns. The Great Danes (3-7, 1-6) got a strong defensive performance from senior linebacker Nate Hatalsky with a game-high 19 tackles.

Stony Brook (8-2, 6-1) scored 24 unanswered points in the second half and rolled over Wagner, 38-14. Jordan Gowins rushed for 125 yards and two touchdowns on just 16 carries while Joe Carbone threw for 115 yards and two TD's. The Seawolves' defense forced three second-half turnovers. LInebacker Shayne Lawless contributed seven tackles, a fumble recovery and an interception.

Maine (4-5) gave UMass all it could handle before dropping a 44-31 decision at Fenway Park in Boston. Josh Mack rushed for a team-high 110 yards and 2 TD's, including a 37-yarder that brought the Black Bears within six with 6:46 to go. UM's Earnest Edwards returned a kickoff 95 yards for a TD and finished with 238 all-purpose yards. Deshawn Stevens made a team-high 10 tackles and a sack.
