Senior quarterback Bryan Schor ran for 76 yards and three touchdowns and added 214 yards through the air as No. 1 James Madison (11-0, 8-0) completed an unbeaten regular season with a 31-3 triumph at No. 11 Elon. The Dukes are the first team since 1984 to capture three straight CAA titles and the first since UMass in 1977 to go undefeated in conference play in back-to-back seasons. JMU's defense limited Elon to 222 yards and a fourth-quarter field goal, while the Dukes also scored on special teams as D'Angelo Amos blocked a punt and returned it for a TD. For Elon (8-3, 6-2), Bryland Cyphers rushed for 74 yards on 20 carries and Chris Blair made a team-best nine tackles.
Harrison Jackson caught a 35-yard "Hail Mary" pass from Joe Carbone on the final play of the game as No. 10 Stony Brook (9-2, 7-1) rallied past Maine, 20-19. The Seawolves trailed 19-6 in the fourth quarter, but Carbone hit Donavin Washington with an 11-yard TD strike before the game-winner to Jackson. Carbone finished with 222 yards through the air. Noah McGinty had a team-high 13 tackles for the Seawolves' defense. For Maine (4-6, 3-5), freshman quarterback Chris Ferguson was 19-of-29 passing for 256 yards and two touchdowns, while Josh Mack ran for 73 yards and a TD.
UAlbany (4-7, 2-6) got a dominant effort from its defense and recorded a 15-0 shutout victory over No. 16 New Hampshire. The Great Danes held the Wildcats (7-4, 5-3) to a season-low 122 total yards, including -11 yards rushing, and recorded eight sacks. UAlbany scored the game's only touchdown on a 54-yard pass from Will Brunson to Austin Ellis midway through the third quarter. Ethan Stark booted a pair of field goals. For UNH, Trevor Knight passed for 133 yards, with Neil O'Connor making nine catches for 88 yards. Quinlen Dean had a game-high 15 tackles for UNH.
Villanova (5-6, 3-5) took home the Battle of the Blue Trophy for the sixth straight year with a 28-7 win over rival Delaware. The Wildcats rushed for 261 yards, with Aaron Forbes running for a team-best 140 yards on just 13 carries. Taurus Phillips caught three passes for 46 yards and two TD's. VU's defense was led by linebacker Jeff Steeb, who recorded a team-high 13 tackles and returned an interception 38 yards for a touchdown. For Delaware (7-4, 5-3), quarterback J.P. Caruso threw for 197 yards and a touchdown to Jamie Jarmon in the fourth quarter.
Redshirt freshman quarterback Ryan Stover completed 18-of-31 passes for 218 yards and four touchdowns to lift Towson (5-6, 3-5) past Rhode Island, 29-10. Stover threw his TD passes to four different receivers, including Shane Leatherbury, who had six catches for 70 yards. The Tigers' defense held URI to 225 total yards. Rhode Island (3-8, 2-6) was led offensively by quarterback JaJuan Lawson, who threw for 150 yards and had a rushing TD. Momodou Mbye recorded a pair of interceptions.
Xavier Goodall rushed for a career-high 180 yards and two touchdowns as Richmond (6-5, 4-4) reclaimed the Capital Cup with a 27-20 victory over William & Mary. Spiders' quarterback Kyle Lauletta, who threw for 221 yards and a TD, broke a 20-20 tie on a 1-yard TD run with 3:59 to go. UR held the Tribe to 280 total yards as Brandon Waller recorded seven tackles and 3.5 TFL. For William & Mary (2-9, 0-8), quarterback Tommy McKee passed for 93 yards and contributed two rushing touchdowns. Arman Jones had a team-high nine tackles.
