Abby Rendle was named Player of the Week while guard
Nyla Pollard picked up her second-straight CAA Rookie of the Week accolade.

Senior Abby Rendle powered William & Mary to its seventh straight victory and broke a CAA career record in the process. Rendle posted a game-high 19 points, going 9-of-10 from the floor, and added nine blocks, seven boards, an assist and a steal in the victory over Old Dominion. She did not commit a turnover in 30 minutes of action. With her eighth block in the contest, Rendle became the league's all-time leading shot blocker, breaking the record of 273 held by former Delaware Blue Hen Elena Delle Donne. Rendle currently has 275 blocks and is the national leader with 53 blocks on the year. This is the second CAA Player of the Week honor for Rendle, who is averaging 13.1 points, 8.1 rebounds and 5.3 blocks per game.

Freshman Nyla Pollard picked up her second-straight CAA Rookie of the Week honor after a solid outing in the William & Mary’s 75-58 win over Old Dominion. Pollard was in double-figures for the second straight game, posting 12 points and acareer-high five assists to go against no turnovers. She also added a steal and a rebound. Pollard has started all 10 games and is averaging 6.6 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 2.6 assists.
#CAAHoops – The Week that Was
Charleston (3-6): After a 10-day exam break, the Cougars picked up a road win at North Florida, topping the Ospreys, 73-69.
Tanisha Brown posted a double-double (14pts,11reb) while
Darien Huff led CofC with 15 points.
Delaware (6-4): The Blue Hens were off for exams last week.
Drexel (7-4): The Dragons topped Saint Joseph’s, 65-58, in their lone game of the week. It was Drexel’s fifth victory in its last six contests. Senior
Megan Marecic notched a career-best 20 points while sophomore
Bailey Greenberg also had a career-high with 19 points, going 7-of-10 from the field, and a career-best five steals.
Elon (7-3): Elon’s second-half comeback fell short in a 70-57 loss at NC State. Sophomore
Ra’Shika White had a game-high 20 points along with a team-high eight rebounds. It was White’s second-consecutive 20-point game. Senior
Shay Burnett had 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting from the floor.
Hofstra (5-5): The Pride had just one game, falling at Columbia, 75-53, last Monday. Sophomore
Marianne Kalin finished with 15 points and nine rebounds while senior
Olivia Askin chipped in 13 points. Freshman
Mie Hoff posted double-digit rebounds for the first time in her career, leading Hofstra with 10.
James Madison (3-7): The Dukes fell to defending A-10 champion Dayton, 82-54, on the road. Sophomore
Kamiah Smalls pushed her double-digit scoring streak to 10 games, finishing with 22 points.
UNCW (6-4): UNCW used a fourth quarter surge to overtake Wofford, 65-60, for its first round win of the year.
Jenny DeGraaf,
Chinyere Bell and
Lacey Suggs each finished with 15 points. DeGraaf and Bell also grabbed eight boards apiece.
Northeastern (4-5): The Huskies nailed a program-record 15 three-pointers in a 71-66 victory at Vermont, which snapped NU’s three-game skid.
Shannon Todd scored a career-high 22 points, which included five three-pointers, to lead the Huskies.
Jess Genco finished with 18 points and drilled four three-pointers from beyond the arc, also tallying seven assists.
Towson (4-5): The Tigers fell at Norfolk State, 86-76, in their only game. A 14-4 run to start the fourth quarter allowed Norfolk State to break open a one-point game and claim victory. Sophomore forward
Nukiya Mayo led Towson with 20 points, as she was one of four Tigers to score in double figures in the contest.
William & Mary (9-1): The Tribe won their seventh straight game by topping Old Dominion, 75-58, at Kaplan Arena. William & Mary stuffed the stat sheet, with
Abby Rendle leading the way with 19 points, nine blocks and seven boards, becoming the CAA’s career blocks leader in the process.
Victoria Reynolds had 15 points, including a 9-for-10 effort from the free throw line.
Bianca Boggs had 13 points, nine boards, six assists while
Nyla Pollard had 12 points and five assists.
