CAA Announces Lax Sports Network Schedule

RICHMOND, Va. (February 7, 2017) – The Colonial Athletic Association has announced the 15 men’s and women’s lacrosse games that will appear on
Lax Sports Network as part of the “CAA Game of the Week” broadcast package.
A total of 10 men’s lacrosse games will be broadcast on the Lax Sports Network during the regular season while five games on the women’s side will be broadcast during the regular season. The semifinals of the CAA Men’s Lacrosse Championship and the CAA Women’s Lacrosse Championship will also be carried by LSN.
The first CAA Game of the Week will be on March 14 with two-timing defending CAA Champion Towson, ranked No. 12/12, hosting No. 17/RV Ohio State. The Tigers make another appearance on March 25 when they host No. 3/3 Denver and again on April 29 when they host Hofstra for the CAA regular season finale. Also highlighting the schedule is the Stony Brook-Hofstra game which will take place on March 21 in Hempstead, N.Y.
There will be two doubleheader days as well. On April 8, Delaware hosts Hofstra followed by Fairfield at Drexel. On April 28, the penultimate day of the regular season, UMass hosts Drexel and Fairfield hosts Delaware.
The five-game women’s slate begins on April 1 when James Madison, which is receiving votes in the national polls, hosts No. 19/19 Towson in a rematch of the 2016 CAA Women’s Lacrosse Championship final. The Tigers, the defending conference champions, appear once again on April 9 when they host Elon. James Madison makes its second appearance of the season on April 21 at Drexel. Elon’s game against Hofstra on April 23 is also a part of the schedule. Delaware versus William & Mary on April 14 rounds out the package.
In addition to the CAA Game of the Week telecasts, Lax Sports Network will produce live pre-game, halftime and post-game shows surrounding each contest. The network will be involved in promoting CAA lacrosse through its various social media platforms.
