CAA MEN'S LACROSSE WEEKLY REPORT - MARCH 20

RICHMOND, Va. (March 20, 2017) – Hofstra University goalie Jack Concannon and University of Massachusetts attackman Tyler Bogart shared Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week while University of Delaware attackman Charlie Kitchen was named the CAA Rookie of the Week for the second time this season.

For the second time this season, Hofstra junior goalie Jack Concannon has recorded a career-high in saves, this time with 19 stops in the Pride's 11-10 home win over Providence. Concannon, who topped his previous best of 17 stops, made 11 of his 19 saves in the second half. Included were five saves in the fourth quarter which allowed the Pride to hold on to the victory after leading 11-5 after three quarters. He also picked up two ground balls. Concannon, who earned his second CAA Player of the Week honor, now has an 8.17 GAA with 76 saves and a .618 save percentage for the 6-0 Hofstra Pride.

Sophomore Tyler Bogart recorded a nine-point week spearheading the offense in close wins over UMass Lowell (10-8) and Hartford (12-10). He totaled seven goals and two assists as well as a pair of groundballs. Bogart put in five points in the three-goal comeback win over UMass Lowell via four goals and an assist, which tied his career high for goals and reset his best for points in one outing. Bogart's final three points against the River Hawks turned an 8-7 deficit into the 10-8 final margin as he scored the team's eighth and 10th goals and assisted Dan Muller on the ninth. At Hartford, Bogart added a four-point outing on three goals and an assist. He had three of his four points in the pivotal second half, during which the Minutemen erased a three-goal deficit. He brought UMass within 7-6 in the third quarter with his second goal of the day and dished an assist on the game-tying eighth goal. He immediately followed with his third goal to make it 9-8, a lead the Minutemen did not relinquish.

Rookie Charlie Kitchen helped Delaware to its sixth win of the season with a 12-7 victory over Saint Joseph's at Delaware Stadium. Kitchen potted three goals on seven shots and had two groundballs. It was his second hat trick of the season. Kitchen has scored two or more points in every game this season and is one of only four NCAA Division I freshmen to accomplish that.
