Spencer Alexander were named Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Men’s Golfers of the Week after tying for second at the Old Bay Towson Invitational.

It's the program's first tournament title since winning the Sea Trails Intercollegiate in September of 2010. Elon as a team has now earned a top-three finish in five of its last six tournaments. This is the second CAA Golfer of the Week honor for Mactas this spring.
Alexander finished tied for second after carding a one-under 71 during Sunday's second round. Alexander shot a 143 for the weekend to place behind Bethune Cookman's Daniel Brennan. It was the second under-par round of the season for Alexander, who made par on 13 of the 18 holes. Alexander was one of four golfers to finish the Towson Invitational tournament under par.
