CAA MEN'S LACROSSE WEEKLY REPORT - APRIL 17
RICHMOND, Va. (April 17, 2017) – After knocking off No. 2 Hofstra University, Drexel University’s
Jimmy Joe Granito was named the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week while the Dragons’
Reid Bowering picked up CAA Rookie of the Week honors for the second straight week.

Senior Jimmy Joe Granito came up with 15 saves as Drexel went to Hofstra and upset the No. 2 ranked Pride. Granito had eight saves in the fourth quarter as Drexel outscored Hofstra 7-1 in the final 15 minutes to pick up the come-from-behind win. His most important save of the night came with 49 seconds remaining as he stopped a blast from Jake Byrne to help preserve the Dragons’ victory.

Rookie Reid Bowering had career-highs of five goals and seven points in Drexel's come-from-behind win at No. 2 Hofstra. Three of his five goals came during the Dragons’ fourth-quarter comeback. His most crucial point of the day came with 1:02 left in regulation as he set up Jake O'Donnell's game-winner. Bowering also added four ground balls.
