RICHMOND, Va. (August 10, 2017) – The Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) has extended its partnership with Lax Sports Network that will continue to provide unprecedented coverage of the conference’s men’s and women’s lacrosse programs. The CAA has signed a multi-year agreement that will extend through the 2018, 2019 and 2020 men’s and women’s lacrosse seasons.
Lax Sports Network will produce a “CAA Game of the Week” broadcast package that includes 10 men’s and five women’s regular-season lacrosse contests per season. In addition to the 15 regular season contests, the network will provide live coverage of the semifinals of both the CAA Men’s Lacrosse Championship and the CAA Women’s Lacrosse Championship. The 2018 CAA Game of the Week on LSN schedule will be announced later this year.
“The CAA is extremely pleased to be able to continue its partnership with the Lax Sports Network,” CAA Commissioner Joe D’Antonio said. “LSN has done an outstanding job in working with the CAA to increase the exposure of our men’s and women’s lacrosse programs by allowing our member institutions to showcase competitive games and talented student-athletes. The opportunity to expand our relationship with an organization that is well-known and respected in the lacrosse community is another positive step for the CAA and its member institutions. I would like to thank Rob Wallace and David Gross from LSN, as well as CAA media rights consultants Mike Schreck and Ray Katz, for their efforts in making this agreement possible.”
In addition to the Game of the Week telecasts, Lax Sports Network will produce live pregame, halftime and postgame shows surrounding each contest.
"The 2017 CAA season was exciting and Lax Sports Network was fortunate to be a constant lens for all lacrosse fans to experience the great product put forth by the men's and women's teams competing in the Colonial Athletic Association,” said Rob Wallace, Chief Operating Officer of the Lax Sports Network. “That CAA games will be on LSN for the next three years goes far beyond any agreement. It represents the partnership of two organizations committed to bringing top quality lacrosse content to the passionate fan base.”
