Woodard Hooper was named CAA field hockey Player of the Week and Delaware's
Lotte de Koning picked up Rookie of the Week on Tuesday, as both the Tribe and Blue Hens went 2-0 and moved to 5-1 on the season.

Hooper scored the game-winning goal in the Tribe’s 1-0 upset of then-No. 7 Michigan on Friday night, and finished with two goals overall on the weekend to lead W&M, which improved to 5-1 overall. One day later, the sophomore recorded her second goal on the weekend in a 4-2 win over UC Davis. Hooper owns three game-winning goals with on the year to lead the CAA and is tied for the team-high with four goals. William & Mary’s last victory over a Top-10 ranked team came in 2013 versus No. 5 Virginia (2-1).

De Koning’s first career weekly award follows a 2-0 weekend for the Blue Hens. The freshman came through with three goals, all of which proved to be critical in helping UD up its winning streak to four games. She scored both goals in Friday’s 2-1 win at Penn, and added another goal on Sunday versus Liberty (a 3-2 victory) along with dishing out her first career assist. The latter tally knotted the game at 2-2 in the 60th minute. Over six starts this fall, De Koning is third for the Blue Hens with 13 points on six goals and one assist.
