RICHMOND, Va. (September 18, 2017) – CAA Football has announced its weekly award winners for Week 3 of the 2017 season. Earning honors were Richmond senior quarterback Kyle Lauletta, UAlbany senior linebacker Nate Hatalsky, Towson sophomore kicker Aidan O’Neill and Towson freshman quarterback Ryan Stover.
 
CAA Football Offensive Player of the Week
Kyle Lauletta, Sr., QB, Richmond (Exton, Pa./Downingtown East)

Lauletta completed 26-of-29 passes (89.7%) for 321 yards and a school-record six touchdowns as Richmond rolled past Howard, 68-21. The senior quarterback threw five TD’s in the first half and another on the opening drive of the second half before leaving the game. He’s one of only five QB’s in FCS or FBS over the last six years to complete over 88% of his passes with six TD’s and no interceptions in a game.
 
CAA Football Defensive Player of the Week
Nate Hatalsky, Sr., LB, UAlbany (Mechanicsville, N.Y./Mechanicsville)

Hatalsky recorded a career-high 15 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss in UAlbany’s 28-14 victory over previously unbeaten Monmouth. The senior linebacker led a Great Danes’ defense that limited the Hawks to just 217 total yards and held Peter Guerriero, the 4th-leading rusher in FCS, to only 26 yards on 13 carries.
 
CAA Football Special Teams Player of the Week
Aidan O’Neill, So., PK, Towson (New Paltz, N.Y./New Paltz)

O’Neill was a perfect 3-for-3 on field goals, including a game-winning 42-yarder as time expired, in Towson’s 16-14 victory at Saint Francis. The sophomore also connected on FG’s of 33 and 38 yards as the Tigers ended the Red Flashes’ 11-game home winning streak. He’s 5-of-6 on field goals this season.
 
CAA Football Rookie of the Week
Ryan Stover, R-Fr., QB, Towson (Oreland, Pa./Upper Dublin)

Stover completed 25-of-43 passes for a career-high 247 yards and ran for a team-best 75 yards on 14 carries in Towson’s 16-14 win at Saint Francis. The freshman hit 10-of-11 passes during a 59-yard drive that set up the Tigers’ game-winning field goal and accounted for 322 of TU’s 454 yards of total offense.
