Malcolm Summers rushed for a career-high 294 yards on 40 carries as Elon (3-1, 1-0) upset No. 6/8 Richmond, 36-33. It was the third straight win for the Phoenix and their second straight over a Top 25 foe. The Spiders (2-2, 0-1) took a 33-26 lead on a 32-yard run by Tyler Wilkins, but Elon pulled even on a 12-yard TD pass from Davis Cheek to Matt Foster. Owen Johnson kicked a game-winning 32-yard field goal with 6:14 to go.
Eli Mencer returned a fumble 80 yards for a touchdown in overtime as UAlbany (3-1, 1-0) knocked off No. 7/8 Villanova, 19-10. The Great Danes took a 10-3 lead with 2:23 to go in regulation as freshman Karl Mofor scored on a 4-yard run, but the Wildcats (2-2, 0-1) forced the extra session on a 2-yard run by Aaron Forbes as time expired. UAlbany kicked a field goal in its first overtime possession before Mencer ended the game with his fumble return.
Quarterback Joe Carbone completed 22-of-30 passes for 240 yards and two touchdowns as Stony Brook (3-1, 2-0) held off Towson, 25-17. The Tigers (2-2, 0-1) were within 19-17 after a 1-yard TD run by C.J. Williams late in the third quarter, but Alex Lucansky kicked two of his four field goals in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.
Senior quarterback Bryan Schor threw four touchdown passes to lead top-ranked James Madison (4-0, 1-0) to a 28-10 victory over Maine (1-2, 0-2). The Black Bears went on top 10-7 early in the third quarter on Josh Mack's 60-yard TD run, but Schor hit David Eldrige with a 22-yard strike to make it 14-10 and then passed for two more scores in the fourth. It was the Dukes' 16th consecutive win, which is one shy of the CAA record.
Junior quarterback Trevor Knight completed 23-of-34 passes for a career-high 420 yards and three touchdowns as No. 15/16 New Hampshire (3-1, 2-0) defeated Rhode Island, 28-14. The Rams (1-3, 0-2) pulled within 15-14 on Harold Cooper's 14-yard run with 12:40 to go, but Knight responded with a 76-yard TD pass to Neil O'Connor and added another to Malik Love. O'Connor finished with 11 receptions for a career-best 232 yards.
