Trai Sharp ran for a career-high 185 yards and a touchdown as No. 1 James Madison (5-0, 2-0) picked up a 20-10 victory at Delaware (2-2, 0-1). It was the nation's-best 17th straight win for JMU, which tied the CAA Football record for most consecutive victories. The Dukes also forced three turnovers, with Andrew Ankrah returning a fumble 23 yards for a score.

No. 23 Elon's defense forced four turnovers and recorded its first shutout since 2009 in a 6-0 triumph over No. 19 UAlbany (3-2, 1-1). The Phoenix (4-1, 2-0), which beat their third straight Top 25 opponent, got a pair of interceptions from Tyler Campbell and all of their points on two field goals by Owen Johnson.

Stony Brook (4-1, 3-0) jumped out to a 21-0 lead and held on for a 21-18 triumph at William & Mary (2-2, 0-1). Donald Liotine (116 total yards) scored one touchdown rushing and another receiving for the Seawolves. The Tribe, which got 162 total yards and a touchdown from running back Nate Evans, drove to the SBU 17-yard line with 8 seconds remaining before a penalty resulted in a 10-second runoff and ended the game.

Quarterback Jack Schetelich ran for a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns to lift No. 14 Villanova (3-2, 1-1) past Towson (2-3, 0-2), 24-9. Schetelich threw a TD pass in the first quarter to give the Wildcats a 7-0 lead and then had scoring runs of 8 and 11 yards in the final period to put the game away. Towson QB Ryan Stover threw for 202 yards and also had a rushing touchdown.

Trevor Knight connected with Neil O'Connor on three touchdown passes as No. 15 New Hampshire topped Bryant, 45-17. Knight completed 17-of-29 passes for 312 yards, while O'Connor made seven catches for 154 yards. The Wildcats (4-1) also got a 50-yard interception return for a score from Rick Ellison.

Quarterback Tyler Harris threw for 298 yards and two touchdowns, but Rhode Island dropped a 24-21 decision to rival Brown. The Rams led 14-3 at the half, but the Bears responded with 21 straight points. Aaron Parker made 10 catches for 128 yards and a TD.
