It's another impressive Saturday for CAA Football as the league was unbeaten against FCS competition, New Hampshire recorded a victory over FBS foe Georgia Southern and Stony Brook picked up a road victory in the lone conference contest.

Junior Joe Carbone completed 14-of-23 passes for a career-high 184 yards, including a pair of TD's to Ray Bolden, as Stony Brook (1-1, 1-0) opened CAA Football play with a 35-18 victory at Rhode Island (0-2, 0-1). Bolden finished with 10 catches for a career-best 121 yards and Stacey Bedell added two TD's on the ground. The Seawolves' defense forced three Rams' turnovers. For URI, quarterback Tyler Harris threw for 185 yards and a TD.

No. 12 New Hampshire (2-0, 1-0) earned its first victory over an FBS opponent since 2009, defeating Georgia Southern, 22-12. Junior wide receiver Neil O'Connor made a career-high 11 receptions for 118 yards and two touchdowns. The Wildcats' defense kept GSU scoreless in the first half. Rick Ellison matched a career-high with 10 tackles and Jae'Waun Horton recorded three tackles for loss.

Griffin Trau's 27-yard field goal with 1:29 to go lifted No. 9 Richmond (1-1) to a 20-17 road victory over No. 25 Colgate. The Spiders' defense limited Colgate to 307 total yards as Andrew Clyde had 10 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and two pass breakups. Quarterback Kyle Lauletta passed for 306 yards with Dejon Brissett making 12 receptions for 159 yards.



Freshman Owen Johnson booted a game-winning 36-yard field goal with five seconds remaining as Elon (1-1) rallied for a 34-31 road win at Furman. Freshman quarterback Davis Cheek completed 26-of-35 passes for 301 yards and three touchdowns and Tre Lennon caught a career-best nine passes for 83 yards and two scores. The Phoenix defense was paced by Tyler Campbell with 15 tackles, including 2.0 TFL.

Sophomore Josh Mack rushed for a career-high 255 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries as Maine (1-1, 0-1) cruised past Bryant, 60-12, in its home opener. Mack had scoring runs of 66, 13 and 60 yards as the Black Bears piled up 536 yards of total offense. Freshman quarterback Chris Ferguson threw three touchdown passes, with two going to Earnest Edwards.

UAlbany (1-1) posted its first shutout since 2014 as the Great Danes blanked Morgan State, 26-0, on the road. Linebacker Nate Hatalsky made nine tackles, including 3.0 TFL, as UA held MSU to only 11 first downs. Freshman Karl Mofor ran for 98 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Great Danes' offense and Ethan Stark booted a pair of field goals.

Quarterback Bryan Schor completed 25-of-33 passes for 304 yards and a school-record tying five touchdowns as No. 1 James Madison (2-0) rolled over ETSU, 52-10. Ishmael Hyman and Riley Stapleton each had two TD receptions and John Miller returned a punt 41 yards for a score. The Dukes' defense gave up just 175 total yards.

Quarterback Tommy McKee completed 16-of-27 passes for 168 yards and three touchdowns to lead William & Mary (1-1) past Norfolk State, 20-6. McKee also rushed for a team-best 114 yards on 14 carries. The Tribe defense held the Spartans to 273 total yards and 12 first downs. Arman Jones made a team-high seven tackles.

Villanova (1-1) erased a 13-point second-half deficit, but lost a 16-13 heartbreaker at FBS foe Temple. Quarterback Zach Bednarczyk completed 27-of-41 passes for a career-high 382 yards and a touchdown and Drew Kresge kicked a pair of field goals, including a game-tying 34-yarder with 3:29 to go. The Owls responded with a game-winning field goal with 1:00 remaining. VU out-gained Temple 402 yards to 353.

Delaware (1-1) got a strong effort from its defense, limiting No. 18 Virginia Tech to just 303 total yards, but suffered a 27-0 setback. Nassir Adderley paced the Blue Hens' defense with six tackles and a blocked field goal. Offensively, quarterback Joe Walker passed for 116 yards and added 26 yards on the ground.

Redshirt freshman quarterback Ryan Stover completed 21-of-36 passes for 210 yards and two touchdowns in his first career start as Towson (1-1) dropped a 63-17 decision at Maryland. Stover, who had TD throws of 10 and 59 yards, added 52 yards on the ground and Shane Simpson piled up 158 all-purpose yards.
