Dean DiSimone shared the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week honors while Hofstra’s
Dominic Pryor was named the CAA Rookie of the Week.

Ryan Tierney | Hofstra University
Sophomore | Attack | Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa
Sophomore Ryan Tierney equaled his career-high in goals with five and recorded a career-high seven points in Hofstra’s 14-2 rout of Long Island-rival Stony Brook on February 27. He took 13 shots and picked up two ground balls in the Pride’s first win of 2018.

Senior | Midfield | West Deptford, N.J./Augustine Prep
Senior Dean DiSimone scored a career-high five goals in Delaware’s narrow 13-12 defeat against No. 7 Villanova. In a back and forth battle that featured six ties, DiSimone had two go-ahead goals and a game-tying goal. DiSimone had back-to-back goals in the fourth quarter that gave the Hens a 12-11 advantage. Villanova, ranked in top-15 in the country in scoring defense entering the match, managed to score the final two goals of the game to eke out the win.

Freshman | Midfielder | South Setauket, N.Y./Ward Melville
Rookie midfielder Dominic Pryor recorded season highs with two goals and one assists in the Pride's 14-2 victory over Stony Brook. The freshman took five shots and picked up one ground ball. He tallied the second and third goals of the game and assisted on Hofstra's final tally by classmate Bryce Tolmie.
