RICHMOND, Va. (Oct. 10, 2022) – With conference play heating up, the Colonial Athletic Association has announced its weekly field hockey honors following several game-changing performances in the seventh week of the fall season. Drexel’s Eline Di Leva was named CAA Player of the Week, while Delaware’s Noelle Sabbagh and Hofstra’s Fede Schroder shared CAA Co-Rookie of the Week accolades.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Eline Di Leva, Drexel
Junior | Forward | Lelystad, Netherlands / Almere College
Di Leva recorded three points on one goal and one assist, impacting both one-goal victories in a 2-0 week for the Dragons. On Sunday, Di Leva scored the game-winning goal two minutes into overtime to lift Drexel over No. 20 William & Mary 1-0 in CAA play. The win marked the first victory over a ranked opponent and the first against the Tribe for Drexel since 2015. On Friday, Di Leva assisted on an Avery Powell goal in the 32nd minute, which proved to be the difference in a 2-1 win over Lafayette. It marks three straight games with at least one point for Di Leva, who leads Drexel in goals (6) and points (15) this fall.

CO-ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Noelle Sabbagh, Delaware
Freshman | Forward | Lewis, Del. / Cape Henlopen
Sabbagh scored the game-winning goal as Delaware knocked off No. 20 William & Mary 3-2 in conference action on Friday. Facing a one-goal deficit in the final seven minutes, Delaware rallied off a pair of goals, including Sabbagh’s game-winner in the 59th minute. The Blue Hens earned their first ranked win this season and improved to 2-1 in CAA play. It marks the fifth goal this season for Sabbagh and the first game-winning goal in her career for the freshman who sits second in the league in goals for first-year players.

CO-ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Fede Schroder, Hofstra
