CAA Field Hockey Weekly Awards – Oct. 31

RICHMOND, Va. (Oct. 31, 2022) – The CAA has announced its final field hockey weekly awards of the 2022 season following the conclusion of the regular season. Annick van Lange of Monmouth earned CAA Player of the Week honors, and Emilia Adragna of Northeastern received CAA Rookie of the Week accolades.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Annick van Lange, Monmouth
Graduate | Forward | Sint-Job, Belgium / Annuntia Institute
van Lange recorded eight points on four goals, including her fourth hat trick this season, to lead Monmouth to a 2-0 weekend. On Friday, the graduate forward added one goal in Monmouth’s 4-2 victory over Drexel as the Hawks earned a share of the CAA Regular Season Title and clinched the top seed in the conference tournament. van Lange followed the performance with a hat trick against UMass Lowell, helping Monmouth to a 3-2 victory on Sunday, marking the sixth straight win for the Hawks to conclude the regular season. van Lange has scored a goal in six consecutive contests and leads the CAA with 50 points and 23 goals this fall.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Emilia Adragna, Northeastern
Freshman | Forward | Bonn, Germany / Friedrich-Ebert Oberschule HS
Adragna tallied seven points on three goals and one assist to lead Northeastern over the weekend. The freshman forward scored two goals in a 3-2 win over No. 20 UMass, marking her second multi-goal performance this season. Adragna also added three points on one goal and one assist against Towson, despite the Huskies falling 4-3. It marks the second time Adragna has scored goals in back-to-back games, and she ranks second in the conference in goals (8) among first-year players this fall.
