Lauren DiCamillo has been recognized by the Colonial Athletic Association as the Primis Student-Athlete Spotlight.
DiCamillo is Drexel’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee President and has been instrumental in numerous community service endeavors. The Pennsylvania native helped educate Drexel student-athletes on changes in NCAA legislation – particularly related to civic engagement and election involvement – and created initiatives including a school clean-up for the MLK Day of Service, a field day at a local elementary school, supporting international student-athletes and those affected by the war in Ukraine, and working with Morgan’s Message, USGA, and Read Across America. DiCamillo also worked with athletic administration to bring back the Best of Blue & Gold annual awards banquet after a three-year CoVID hiatus.
DiCamillo competed in the 200 free and 100 back at last winter’s CAA Championships and helped relay teams to third-place results in meets against La Salle and Towson in addition to a third-place finish of her own in the 100 free against the Explorers in October of last season.
The Primis CAA Student-Athlete Spotlight is a feature during the academic year that highlights female student-athletes from the CAA member institutions that reflect its core values of Leadership, Accountable, Inspired, Imaginative and All-In! As The Official Bank of the CAA, Primis supports the recognition of these individuals all year long.
