INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Nov. 12, 2022) – Alexander Korczynski of Northeastern earned an individual bid to the 2022 NCAA Cross Country National Championship following an All-Region performance yesterday at the NCAA Northeast Regional Championship.

Korczynski ran a 10K personal-best 29:39.9 at Van Courtlandt Park to finish seventh overall in the field of 240 competitors. It marks the highest finish in Northeastern program history at the NCAA Regional Championship. Not only did he collect All-Region honors, but the performance earned him an auto bid to the NCAA National Championships as one of the top four finishers, not from an automatic qualifying or at-large team.

The entire field of team and individual qualifiers were announced Saturday evening during the NCAA Selection show.

Korczynski is the first Husky to qualify for the national championship since 2014, and it's the third time in the past four seasons that CAA Cross Country has had an individual qualifier for the championship. Meet.
