CAA Field Hockey Duo Garners All-America Honors

GENEVA, N.Y. (Dec. 13, 2022) – A pair of CAA Field Hockey student-athletes were named National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-Americans by the organization Tuesday morning.
Delaware junior defender Julia Duffhuis earned NFHCA Second Team All-America honors, and Monmouth graduate forward Annick van Lange received NFHCA Third Team All-America accolades.
Duffhuis collects All-America recognition for the second consecutive season. The junior from Bergeijk, Netherlands is the back-to-back CAA Defensive Player of the Year in addition to a three-time First Team All-CAA selection and was pegged on the CAA All-tournament team for the second consecutive year. Duffhuis led the Blue Hens and was second in the conference with 32 points and 14 goals.
van Lange was named CAA Offensive Player of the Year following the regular season, collecting First Team All-CAA and CAA All-Tournament team honors as well. The graduate student from Sint-Job, Belgium led the CAA with 52 points and 24 goals while recording a league-high four hat tricks, including a conference single-game high four goals on October 2.
Delaware has now had at least one All-American in ten straight seasons, while van Lange is the fifth All-American in Monmouth program history and second in the past three seasons.
