Four CAA Soccer Players Named to CSC Academic All-America Teams

AUSTIN, Texas (Dec. 7, 2022) – Four CAA soccer players – three men’s and one women’s – have been voted Academic All-America honorees by the membership of College Sports Communicators.
 
On the men’s side, Hofstra’s Hendrik Hebbeker was a first team selection, while Elon’s Ryan Bilichuk and Hofstra’s Stefan Mason were named to the third team. In women’s soccer, Hofstra’s Anja Suttner was selected to the third team. Nominees are submitted by member institutions; the voting panel consists of athletic communications professionals who are in the membership of College Sports Communicators, formerly known as CoSIDA.
 
Hebbeker is a first team Academic All-America recipient for the second consecutive year after helping Hofstra to its second consecutive CAA title. The senior from Germany holds a 3.98 GPA as a Mathematics & Physics major.
 
Bilichuk earns a spot on the third team after transferring to Elon for his grad year and contributing to the Phoenix’s regular season title and an at-large selection in the NCAA Tournament. The goalkeeper from South Carolina has earned a 3.66 GPA as a Sport & Entertainment Management major.
 
Mason is a third team honoree for the second straight year and joins Hebbeker to give Hofstra two of the six repeat selections among the 33 recipients. The senior from the United Kingdom holds a 3.85 GPA as a Finance major.
 
Suttner, the CAA Championship Most Outstanding Player, earned her first career Academic All-America accolade. Suttner, a two-time Academic All-District selection, has a 3.94 grade point average as an Exercise Science major.
