CAA Swimming & Diving Weekly Awards - Jan. 10

RICHMOND, Va. (January 10, 2023) – UNCW sophomore Jacob Duracinsky was selected as the Men’s Swimmer of the Week, while Northeastern sophomore Hannah Seward was honored as the Women’s Swimmer of the Week. Delaware freshman Kevin Siegfried was named Men’s Diver of the Week and Delaware junior Julia Servas was chosen as the Diver of the Week.
CAA Men’s Swimmer of the Week
Jacob Duracinsky, So., UNCW (Holly Springs, N.C.)
Duracinsky won one event and placed second in two others in UNCW’s meet at South Carolina. The sophomore captured the 100 free with a time of 45.56 and was the runner-up in the 200 free with a time of 1:40.36. Both times were the best among CAA swimmers competing last weekend. He was also part of UNCW’s second-place 400 free relay team.
CAA Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Hannah Seward, So., Northeastern (Ridgefield, Conn.)
Seward recorded three first-place finishes in Northeastern’s team victory at New Hampshire. The sophomore captured the 100 fly with a time of 55.97, claimed the 200 fly with a time of 2:05.19 and won the 200 IM with a time of 2:07.0.
CAA Men’s Diver of the Week
Kevin Siegfried, Fr., Delaware (Chalfont, Pa.)
Siegfried continued his impressive rookie season, topping the 300-point mark on both boards in Delaware’s meet against CAA foe Drexel. The freshman claimed first place in the 1-meter competition with a career-best score of 320.25 and took second in the 3-meter event with a score of 306.83.
CAA Women’s Diver of the Week
Julia Servas, Jr., Delaware (Darien, Conn.)
Servas swept both boards in Delaware’s meet against Drexel last weekend. The junior posted a NCAA Zone-cut score of 270.45 to take first place in the 1-meter competition, and also captured the 3-meter competition with a score of 297.45.
