RICHMOND, Va. (Oct. 2, 2023) – The CAA has announced its field hockey weekly award winners following the sixth week of the 2023 season. Drexel senior forward earned CAA Player of the Week honors for the second consecutive week, while a pair of freshmen - Monmouth goalkeeper Jessie Eiselin and Northeastern forward Alex Mega - shared CAA Rookie of the Week accolades.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Eline Di Leva, Drexel
Senior | Forward | Lelystad, Netherlands / Almere College
Di Leva totaled seven points on three goals and one assist, leading Drexel to a 2-0 week as the Dragons extended their winning streak to five matches. On Friday, the senior forward tallied both goals in a 2-1 double-overtime victory over Hofstra. Di Leva opened the scoring in the first quarter before recording the game-winning goal with 17 seconds remaining in the final overtime period. She continued her clutch antics in non-conference action, lifting Drexel to a 3-2 victory over Wagner with her second straight game-winning goal. This time, Di Leva broke a 2-2 tie in the 45th minute after recording an assist on Drexel’s first goal in the second quarter. The senior forward has scored a goal in five straight contests, recording six tallies and 14 points during that span.

CO-ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Eiselin produced her best performance in the cage this season, leading Monmouth to a 1-0 overtime victory over Temple.
