CAA Golf Weekly Awards – Oct. 4

RICHMOND, Va. (Oct. 4, 2023) – Towson graduate student Madison Barber and Monmouth sophomore Ethan Lee are the CAA golf weekly award winners for tournaments ending October 3.
 
WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Madison Barber, Towson
Graduate Student | Kingston, Ontario / Frontenac Secondary School
Barber recorded her first career runner-up performance at the Navy Fall Invitational while helping Towson to a second-place team finish. The graduate student from Canada was the only golfer with an even-par 72 in the opening round in Annapolis and followed with a 75 while carding seven birdies over 36 holes. Towson finished ahead of three other CAA programs at the event.
 
MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Ethan Lee, Monmouth
Sophomore | Jackson, N.J. / Christian Brothers Academy
Lee finished second at the Matthews Auto Collegiate with a 7-under performance in the 36-hole event. Lee went 68-69 for his second career top-five effort and Monmouth finished fifth out of 14 teams – 12 NCAA and two from U Sports in Canada – at the tournament in New York’s Southern Tier.
