Emma Schimpf are the CAA golf weekly award winners for tournaments ending October 31.
MEN’S CO-GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Walker Isley, UNCW
Senior | Oak Island, N.C. / South Brunswick
Isley earns at least a share of the conference honor for the fourth time this fall after a 6-under performance to finish second at the Daniel Island Intercollegiate. The senior from North Carolina went 72-70-68 to climb to runner-up status and finish one stroke off the lead.
MEN’S CO-GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Garrett Risner, Elon
Junior | Holly Springs, N.C. / Apex Friendship
Risner placed fourth at the Bryan National Collegiate to lead Elon past three other CAA teams. Risner carded a 68-74-68 (-6) effort in Greensboro and was the top finisher from a team other than host UNCG. Risner earns a share of the award for the second time this fall and Elon for the third.
WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Emma Schimpf, Charleston
Junior | Daniel Island, S.C. / Oceanside Collegiate
Schimpf is the third Charleston golfer to earn the women’s weekly award this fall after finishing eighth at the Hurricane Invitational. The junior from nearby Daniel Island went 67-72-73 (-4) to finish eighth against a field that included participants from Miami, Oklahoma, Colorado, and BYU.
