Thirteen CAA Field Hockey Student-Athletes Garner All-Region Honors

GENEVA, N.Y. (Nov. 29, 2023) – Thirteen CAA Field Hockey student-athletes garnered All-Region honors announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) on Wednesday morning.
Six conference institutions represented the CAA on the NFHCA All-Region teams, with Monmouth and William & Mary having a league-high three selections. In addition, Drexel, Hofstra and Northeastern each had two honorees, and Delaware had one.
Six student-athletes earned First Team All-Region accolades as Delaware senior midfielder Berber Bakermans, Drexel senior forward Eline Di Leva, and Monmouth junior forward Sofia Fouces were on the Mid-Atlantic Region first team. Northeastern graduate midfielder/back Lauren Rowe was on to the Northeast Region first team, Hofstra sophomore goalkeeper Pieke Roos received first-team recognition in the Mideast Region, and William & Mary junior midfielder Pyper Friedman landed on the South Region first team.
The seven honorees earning Second Team All-Region recognition include Monmouth teammates Aylin Aufenacker and Jess Tucker, along with Drexel’s Valentine Van Hellemont in the Mid-Atlantic Region, Mak Graves of Northeastern in the Northeast Region, Tara McNally in the Mideast Region and Tribe teammates Lauren Curran and Jayden Moon in the South Region.
