KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Dec. 8, 2023) - Hofstra University men's soccer student-athletes Eliot Goldthorp, Ryan Carmichael, and Pierce Infuso earned one of the highest accolades in their sport as the trio were named United Soccer Coaches All-Americans. The trio were selected based on the voting of Division I head coaches. The three selections in one season are the most for the Pride in program history, as Hofstra has never had more than one United Soccer Coaches All-America in any previous season.

Goldthorp a semifinalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy and the 2023 CAA Player of the Year, was named to the All-America First Team and is the first Hofstra men's soccer player to earn first team accolades. A Second Team All-American in 2022, the junior midfielder recorded eight goals and a program-record 15 assists for 31 points in 2023. The nation's leader in assists, Goldthorp was a First Team All-Atlantic Region and All-CAA selection, as well as an All-CAA Championship pick for the second consecutive season. In his two seasons at Hofstra, Goldthorp has recorded 25 goals and 21 assists for 71 points in 43 games. He is also the first two-time All-American in program history.

Carmichael, a three-time All-Atlantic Region First Team selection, earned his first All-America honor with a spot on the second team. The senior forward led the Pride and the Coastal Athletic Association in scoring in 2023 with 17 goals and five assists for 39 points. The 17 goals rank second in the nation. He was a First Team All-CAA pick and was an All-CAA Championship selection. Carmichael finished his career ranked second all-time at Hofstra in goals (46) and points (110).

Infuso also picked up the first All-America selection of his career and was a third team selection. The senior defender is a two-time All-Atlantic Region and All-CAA selection. One of the anchors of the Hofstra defense, he helped lead a unit that produced nine shutouts and allowed less than four shots on goal per game. He also chipped in offensively with two goals and an assist. Infuso was also named the Most Outstanding Player of the 2023 CAA Championship.

Goldthorp is now a two time All-American, while Carmichael and Infuso join him, Ed Gaffney (1969, Honorable Mention), Michael Todd (2006, Second Team), Shaun Foster (2012, Third Team), Joseph Holland (2015, Second Team), and Hendrik Hebbeker (2021, Second Team) as Coaches Association All-Americans.
