W&M's Stevenson Receives Invitation To NCAA Women's Swimming Championship

William & Mary senior Katie Stevenson received an invitation to compete at the 2023 NCAA Women's Swimming Championship..Fresh off her record breaking weekend, Stevenson was invited to swim against the best in the NCAA as the senior will compete in the 50, 100, and 200 freestyle events. The meet will take place in Knoxville, Tennessee from March 15-18. 
 
Stevenson qualified for the meet with a blistering time of 48.37 in the 100 free to set a new William & Mary and CAA Championship mark last weekend earning one of her three gold medals. 
 
The senior took the silver medal and set a new Tribe record in the 200 free with a time of 1:46.40 last weekend, and her time of 22.67 in the 50 free was good enough for the bronze medal. 
 
It's the second straight year that William & Mary has had a women's swimmer compete in the NCAA Championship. In 2022, Missy Cundiff swam a 22.05 in the 50 free at the NCAA Prelims, just missing the Final cut.
