Hofstra Travels to Rutgers in NIT First Round

INDIANAPOLIS (March 12, 2023) – CAA Men’s Basketball Regular Season Champion Hofstra will face Rutgers on Tuesday in Piscataway, New Jersey, to open the National Invitation Tournament.
Hofstra is 24-9 on the year and earned an automatic qualifier to the NIT as the No. 1 seed in the Jersey Mike’s CAA Men’s Basketball Championship. The regular season co-champions won 12 straight games from Jan. 19-March 5 and garnered two major conference awards thanks to two-time CAA Player of the Year

Rutgers earned a No. 1 seed in the NIT as one of the “First Four Out” from the NCAA Tournament. The Scarlet Knights are 19-14 on the year and won six games against the NCAA Tournament field.
The Pride and Scarlet Knights will tip off at 7 p.m. on ESPNU.
