W&M's Stevenson Ready To Compete At NCAA Women's Swimming Championship

RICHMOND, Va. (March 15, 2023) – William & Mary senior Katie Stevenson will compete at the NCAA Women’s Swimming & Diving Championship, which takes place March 15-18 at the Allen Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center in Knoxville, Tenn.

Stevenson earned an invitation to the NCAA Championship based on her time of 48.37 in the 100 free at the CAA Championship, which set a new conference and Tribe record in the event. She will also compete in the 50 free and 200 free at the NCAA’s. Prelims for the 50 free will be held on Thursday morning, the 200 free prelims are Friday morning and the 100 free prelims are Saturday morning. Should Stevenson advance, the finals of all three events take place at 6 p.m.

Stevenson reached the podium in seven events at the CAA Championship. Along with claiming gold in the 100 free, she was part of the Tribe’s winning 200 medley relay team that set a new CAA and W&M record and the first-place 400 medley relay team that also set a new CAA mark.

Stevenson earned silver medals in the 200 free and the 400 free relay and took third place in the 50 free and 800 free relay.
