Jenika Cuocco are the CAA Women’s Lacrosse weekly award winners for their performances over the last week.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Lizzie Yurchak, Delaware
Junior | Midfield | Lancaster, Pa. / Hempfield
Yurchak’s late-game heroics propelled Delaware to a pivotal CAA win over Monmouth. The junior midfielder’s career-best six-goal outburst included the game-tying goal with 14 seconds remaining in regulation and the game-winner in overtime for a 13-12 Blue Hens victory.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Madison Hranicka, Delaware
Senior | Defense | Mendham, N.J. / West Morris Mendham
Hranicka notched a career-high six ground balls and collected three caused turnovers as Delaware battled back to beat Monmouth in overtime. The Delaware defense allowed two goals in the final 26:03 of regulation before winning in overtime for the Blue Hens’ largest comeback victory since 2009.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Jenika Cuocco, Drexel
Sophomore | Goalkeeper | Sound Beach, N.Y. / Rocky Point
Cuocco limited William & Mary to seven goals while making eight saves as Drexel improved to 6-3 on the year. The goalie from Long Island added two ground balls and improved her conference-best save percentage to .503 for the year. Cuocco is Rookie of the Week for the third time in the last four weeks.
