Delaware’s Kurtz & Stony Brook’s Pallonetti Second Round Additions for Tewaaraton Award

WASHINTON (March 30, 2023) – Two CAA Men’s Lacrosse student-athletes were announced as second round additions to the 2023 Tewaaraton Watch List announced by the Tewaaraton Foundation on Thursday. Delaware redshirt senior attackman
Tye Kurtz and Stony Brook senior attackman Dylan Pallonetti received recognition during the second round of additions.
Kurtz leads the CAA with 49 points and 34 goals this season. The redshirt senior has at least two goals in every game this and has four or more on six occasions. He has registered at least three points in every game, tallying five or more seven times. Kurtz is tied for first in the NCAA in goals scored and ranks second nationally in points. Kurtz earned Preseason All-CAA honorable mention recognition and is a two-time second team All-CAA selection.
Pallonetti is second in the conference with 45 points and 32 goals. The Long Island native has scored at least twice in every game this spring and is first in the nation with a 37-game goal-scoring streak. Earlier this season, Pallonetti tallied a single-game league-high 10 points, establishing his career-high. He ranks fourth in the NCAA in goals and sixth in points. Pallonetti was a Preseason All-CAA honoree, a first team All-America East selection in 2022 and the 2021 America East Offensive Player of the Year.
The duo joins Delaware redshirt senior defender
Owen Grant and senior attackman Mike Robinson, who were on the preseason watch list for the award.
The Tewaaraton Award annually honors the top male and female college lacrosse player in the United States. The selection committees are comprised of premier college coaches and are appointed annually by the Tewaaraton Foundation.
