SPARKS, Md. (March 7, 2023) - Drexel women's lacrosse senior
Corinnne Bednarik has been named the Division I Player of the Week, by USA Lacrosse Magazine on Tuesday morning. This is her first national weekly honor this season.
Bednarik scored three goals, earned five assists, and five draw controls against No. 19 Johns Hopkins on Saturday. Her efforts helped the Dragons to their first program win against the Blue Jays and their first upset victory of the season. Against LIU on Wednesday, Bednarik earned three unassisted goals and scooped up three ground balls. Additionally, the midfielder found five draw controls in the circle.
This season, she leads the Dragons with 17 goals, 11 assists, 28 points, 37 shots, and 27 shots on goal. Bednarik also has the team lead in ground balls (18), is tied with three other teammates in free-position goals (4), and is second on the team with 31 draw controls.
