RICHMOND, Va. (March 8, 2023) –UNCW’s Phu Khine, Victoria Levy, and Patrick Sparks are the CAA Golfers of the Week for their recent performances.
 
WOMEN’S CO-GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Phu Khine, UNCW
Graduate Student | Yangon, Myanmar / IMG Academy
Khine tied for third individually with teammate Victoria Levy to help UNCW to a second-place result at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational in Hawaii. Khine went 71-75-73 to finish one shot off the individual title shared by a pair of Long Beach State teammates. UNCW placed second, seven shots back of the team title.
 
WOMEN’S CO-GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Victoria Levy, UNCW
Sophomore | Lausanne, Switzerland / Gymnase Auguste Piccard
Levy shared third place with teammate Phu Khine to finish one shot off the lead in Hawaii. Levy went 72-74-73 in the 54-hole event to close the tournament one shot back of a tie for medalist honors. Levy joined Khine and Deborah Spair to give the Seahawks three top-10 results.
 
MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Patrick Sparks, UNCW
Junior | Lima, Peru / Markham College
Sparks repeats as the weekly award winner after another top 10 in a tournament played at Auburn. Sparks’ 211 (69-72-70) was two shots shy of matching his career-best set earlier this spring. The Seahawks climbed from 15th to eighth on the final day of the event by going -8 as a team.

Men’s Notes
Charleston placed eighth at the Wake Forest Invitational with Zach Reuland leading the Cougars … Hofstra and Monmouth competed at the South Jersey Kick Off with both teams tying for fourth … UNCW jumped from 15th to eighth on the final day of the Jason Dufner Invitational.
 
Women’s Notes
UNCW and Towson competed at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational in Hawaii with the Seahawks placing second and Tigers 10th.
