Pairings Set For 2023 CAA Women's Tennis Championship

CAA WOMEN'S TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP BRACKET (PDF)
RICHMOND, Va. (April 17, 2023) – The pairings are set for the 2023 CAA Women’s Tennis Championship, which will be played April 20-23 at the Mackesy Tennis Center at the Millie West Courts on the campus of William & Mary.
The 12-team championship begins Thursday morning with first-round action. At 9 a.m., #8 Hampton (8-10) challenges #9 North Carolina A&T (7-7), followed by #5 Stony Brook (10-7) versus #12 Towson (5-15) at Noon. Action continues at 3 p.m. with #7 Drexel (9-11) squaring off against #10 Monmouth (6-15) and wraps up with a 6 p.m. match between #6 UNCW (10-8) and #11 Hofstra (2-14).
The top four seeds hit the court for Friday’s quarterfinals. Top-seeded William & Mary (12-5) takes on the Hampton/North Carolina A&T winner at 9 a.m., followed by #4 Elon (15-6) against the Stony Brook/Towson winner at Noon. #2 Delaware (21-3) faces the Drexel/Monmouth winner at 3 p.m., and #3 Charleston (16-5) meets the UNCW/Hofstra winner at 6 p.m.
The winners advance to Saturday’s semifinals, where the William & Mary/Hampton-North Carolina A&T winner plays the Elon/Stony Brook-Towson winner at Noon, followed by the Delaware/Drexel-Monmouth winner against the Charleston/UNCW-Hofstra winner at 3 p.m. The championship match will be played at 2 p.m. on Sunday, with an automatic berth to the NCAA Women’s Tennis Championship on the line.
